The Discovery Analysis provides a comprehensive nutritional profile for each product, with benchmarking against industry averages for similar food. Farmers use this in marketing materials, pricing strategy, and wholesale conversations with chefs and buyers.
Each Discovery Analysis covers up to six samples of the same food type. For meat, that means six samples of the same cut. You can test as many food types as you like; each is its own Discovery Analysis at $1,200 standard rate (partner pricing available through this offer).
Once you sign up, Edacious schedules your analysis with you. After the lab receives the samples, results typically come back within one month.
The Edacious Pro Platform helps interpret nutrition data from anywhere, but it’s currently built around U.S. dietary and regulatory guidelines (FDA, USDA, CDC). Anyone can use the software, with that caveat in mind.
The Edacious Food Lab is located in Massachusetts. Sending agricultural samples internationally to the U.S. is currently cost-prohibitive unless you have an established research program.
Canadian options: use the Edacious software to interpret results from a Canadian lab, or work with a Canadian lab Edacious recommends. Or join the Edacious waitlist to be notified when a Canadian lab partner is established.
