Across the foodservice industry, chefs are searching for ingredients that set their menus apart. Products with a story, a place, and a level of quality that can’t be found in a standard catalog. At the same time, many local and regional producers struggle to reach large-scale buyers due to their limited resources and distribution capabilities. Local Line is closing that gap by making it possible for farms and specialty producers to access national demand while continuing to operate on terms that work for them.

Today, we’re excited to announce that Local Line has joined Sysco Marketplace, bringing farm-direct and hard-to-find products to chefs coast-to-coast.

What is Sysco Marketplace?

Sysco Marketplace is Sysco’s curated digital platform where customers discover differentiated products beyond the traditional broadline assortment. The platform is designed for exploration, helping chefs uncover specialty ingredients, regional favorites, and unique shelf-stable and frozen items that elevate menu creativity.

Access to Sysco Marketplace is exclusive to Sysco customers, ensuring participating suppliers are presented directly to an active base of professional buyers already purchasing through Sysco.

Bringing unique, local products to a national stage

Through this partnership, Local Line suppliers can create a dedicated Sysco price list and make select products available inside Sysco Marketplace. These items are sourced directly from farms and specialty producers, giving chefs access to distinctive ingredients that are often difficult to procure at scale.

Suppliers list products at an all-in delivered price, providing clear, transparent purchasing for Sysco customers while allowing producers to maintain control over fulfillment and shipping directly to the end buyer. Orders flow seamlessly into suppliers’ existing Local Line accounts, where inventory, pricing, and order management continue to be handled within the workflows they already use today.

Product focus within Sysco Marketplace

Sysco Marketplace is currently prioritizing categories that travel well and offer strong differentiation:

  • Dry and shelf-stable goods
  • Frozen specialty products
  • Select unique meat items (by application)
  • Exotic or hard-to-find produce

This targeted approach ensures chefs encounter products that are both reliable and meaningfully distinct from broadly available options.

Value for Sysco chefs

Sysco customers shopping Sysco Marketplace will find the best available price for all Local Line products listed. Combined with direct-from-farm sourcing and specialty discovery, this pricing clarity strengthens Sysco Marketplace as a destination for chefs seeking both quality and value.

Expanding opportunity without added complexity

For suppliers, the Sysco Marketplace experience is designed to expand supplier reach without requiring operational change. Suppliers continue to:

  • Manage pricing through Local Line
  • Receive and confirm orders inside their existing accounts
  • Ship products directly to customers

The result is simple but powerful: national visibility paired with local independence.

A growing network connecting farms to professional kitchens

This listing represents another step toward a more connected food system - one where exceptional local and specialty products can move efficiently from producers to the chefs who value them most.

We’re proud to join Sysco Marketplace to open new doors for farm-direct commerce and to help chefs across the country discover ingredients that truly differentiate their menus.
