A new partnership between Local Line and Farmers’ Truck marks a major step forward for expanding local food access across North America. As the primary sourcing platform for Farmers’ Truck customers, Local Line will provide their mobile markets with reliable local food supply where it’s needed most.

Farmers’ Truck is a mission-driven social enterprise transforming how communities access fresh food. They provide custom built mobile-markets that collectively serve over 25,000 families each week with healthy, affordable groceries delivered directly to where people live and work.

Tackling Food Insecurity, One Truck at a Time

Access to healthy local food is still a major challenge in parts of North America, and in recent years, there’s been increasing demand for mobile farmers markets that can bring the farmers market directly to the communities where it is most needed. These mobile markets:

  • Deliver fresh, healthy food directly to underserved communities.
  • Provide a more cost-effective solution for food access programs.
  • Makes fresh food access more mobile, flexible, and responsive to community needs.

Farmers’ Truck’s mobile market vehicles, including their C-Model and B-Model trucks, are designed with community in mind. From refrigeration and food-safe sinks to shaded awnings and community-first displays, each truck makes fresh food shopping inviting and easy.

Filling the Sourcing Gap With Local Line

While Farmers’ Truck has a full lineup of tools to help their customers operate and promote their markets, one thing was missing: an easy, reliable way to procure local food. That’s where Local Line comes in.

Local Line is a local food sourcing platform that helps food buyers buy directly from family farms. For farmers, it offers tools to manage inventory, accept orders, set prices, and communicate with customers, all in one place. For buyers like chefs, grocers, and mobile market operators, Local Line makes it easy to discover local suppliers, place orders, and track local food purchases.

Through this new partnership, Local Line will become the built-in sourcing solution for every Farmers’ Truck operator. Each mobile market operator will receive their own Local Line sourcing account, giving them direct access to nearby farms and the ability to onboard farms with ease. From day one, product ordering is simple and streamlined, making it easier for mobile markets to stay fully stocked with fresh, local food.

Boosting Farm Sales Through Mobile Markets

This partnership supports more than just mobile market operators; it creates meaningful opportunities for local farmers and producers as well. With Farmers’ Truck operating in over 26 states and serving more than 25,000 families each week, Local Line provides a direct connection between producers and mobile markets. Farms already using Local Line can be recommended to nearby markets, leading to more consistent orders, increased access to local communities, and a steady stream of new customers without added marketing costs.

Getting Started is Easy
