Today, we’re announcing improvements to our referral program that will make it easier to share Local Line with your network.

For years, we’ve been fortunate to grow through customer referrals. Many of you have recommended Local Line to neighbors, suppliers you work with, and nearby farms. Until now, that process has been relatively informal: most referrals came in via email or message, letting us know that another farm was interested in getting started.

When that farm signed up and became a Local Line customer, we manually added $200 in credit to both your account and theirs.

As Local Line has continued to grow, the need for a more scalable and consistent referral process has become clear. That’s why we’re introducing unique referral links for each Local Line customer.

Introducing Customer Referral Links

Starting today, every Local Line customer has a unique referral link to share with neighboring farms and food hubs that may be interested in the platform. When someone uses your link to register, they’re automatically flagged as a referral.

Once the referred farm completes onboarding and becomes an active Local Line customer, both of you receive $200 in subscription credit. This works the same way it always has; the difference is that the entire process is now cleaner, trackable, and automatic.

The Referral Process

Here is how it works step-by-step:

1. Share your referral link: You’ll soon see your unique link right in your dashboard. Copy it and send it to a fellow farmer or food hub through email, text, or social.

2. They sign up through your link: Your referral creates a Local Line account and meets with our team during onboarding. The link ensures the referral is automatically tracked in the background.

3. You both get rewarded: As soon as they become an active customer, the system automatically applies your $200 credit to your Local Line account. At the same time, they get $200 off their subscription.

Start Sharing and Start Earning with Local Line

We’re excited to roll out this improved referral experience and make it easier for you to share a tool that’s helping your business grow. Referral links will appear in your dashboard very soon, but in the meantime, every customer has already received their unique link by email.

If you can’t find yours or need a hand, our team is always happy to help. Just reach out at support@localline.ca, and we’ll get your link to you right away.

Real growth starts with Local Line.
